I love this cover for these 6 reasons:
- Because it represents the continuation of time-slip romances for me, this time in the River of Time: California Series
- Because the cover model is an avid River of Time reader/fan, so passionate about the series she spent her own moola to fly up to OR for the photo shoot
- Because the photographer was an amazing girl I met on our mission trip to Uganda last summer, Jennifer Ilene
- Because I think it’s beautiful
- Because my husband helped me pull it together
- Because it motivates me to finish my rough draft
When does it release? Shooting for April 2016 (publishing it myself)
What’s it about? (Here’s a brief blurb. I’ll post a first chapter in December to give you a better feel for it.) Three Wishes follows Zara, a normal So Cal girl on the verge of graduating high school and thinking about her dawning future. But when dusk brings a shattering loss, in a piercing moment, she finds she might consider new hope found in a distant past, when she meets handsome Javier de la Vega, a ranchero in 1839 California (pre-statehood, pre-Gold Rush), who has big dreams, big secrets, and big dreams about his future wife…
The cover is not final-final (we still have some fussing to do), but I think it’s 97% there…what do you think??
I’m excited to announce that my River of Time Series may someday be made into a TV series or feature films! I took the first step last month by signing an agreement with producers Guy and Amber Lia of Storehouse Media Group. It feels like getting a film produced is a thousand times harder than getting a book published, but with these two people involved–a husband and wife team with terrific vision for quality, family-friendly films–I have way more hope. Stay tuned for updates. I’ll post them as things develop. Oh, and please feel free to pray that they WILL develop!!
The 5th and final (??) book in the River of Time Series is now live!
You can download it now via:
Barnes & Noble/Nook
Smashwords (iBooks, Kobo, other formats)
Paper version: You can purchase it on my own site, and get $3 off (coupon code: 54NMW9FY), or on Amazon or B&N! Here’s the link to my eStore: createspace.com/4943146
Here’s the pretty-much-final cover for DELUGE, the last of the River of Time Series coming in 2014. It’s in editing now and we’re gunning to get it out around August 22 in e-formats, and a couple weeks later in paper (around September 5). It will only be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords, since I’m self-publishing. It’s a full-length novel, not novellas. If you register for my e-newsletter (green box on my home page), you’ll find out for sure. It will also be all over my River of Time Facebook page.
The image was originally going to be Gabi and Marcello’s child but now she’s someone else! And the book obviously features our troops going to Venice (or Venezia, as they call it). In the end, our characters have to face the Black Plague at long last. Truly, it will be the hardest battle the She-Wolves have fought yet…prepare yourselves.
While you wait on DELUGE, be sure to check out REMNANTS: Season of Wonder. It released April 8!
You asked…I listened. And so, I’m happy to tell you that BOURNE & TRIBUTARY are now available together, in one paperback, via CreateSpace’s print-on-demand program. The book is $11.99, and is slightly smaller than your other River of Time books (they didn’t offer the exact same dimensions). It’s about 325 pages. So, it’s not a PERFECT match, but for all of the River Tribe who have been requesting these novellas in PRINT, here they are! You can order a PRINT copy from Amazon or Barnes & Noble now (e-only on Smashwords), or send me a check for $14.00 and I’ll ship you one late-August, autographed (USA only). Email me to order a signed copy, Lisa @ BergrenCreativeGroup dot com.
TRIBUTARY is coming in June! It’s another e-novella, like BOURNE, picking up a year after we left the Betarrini and Forelli crew in Toscana. Lia and Luca are drawing closer together, Lord Greco may have met his match at last, and Gabi and Marcello face news that will change all of their lives. Oh, and yeah, the bad guys still want them all dead. (more…)
