Born five years ago, she’s a dog of leisure these days. When we got her, my husband said, “I can’t be an artist and walk a little white dog. People will talk.” So he insisted on naming her after a brand of Scotch. But I added an old lady name, which I think belongs with the breed. That’s how Talisker “Talley” Beatrice Bergren was named.
