It is my honor to host the amazing Deborah Raney. Deb and I met years ago when I was an acquisition editor and came across her beautiful writing. Here’s a brief summary of her newly republished INSIGHT: Olivia Cline has followed her husband to a new town, hoping for a fresh start after Derek’s affair with a coworker. But before they’ve even moved into their new home, tragedy strikes, and Derek is gone. With no job, no insurance, and precious little money, how will she cope? Going back to Chicago isn’t an option. Espeically not, given Olivia’s shocking discovery just weeks after Derek’s death. Her answer comes in the form of a job posting–and the handsome, brooding artist who posted it.

I’m delighted with the new cover my husband created for Insight. And most fun of all, I wrote a brand new epilogue for the novel after a good number of readers said they wanted to see where Olivia and Reed were a few months after the novel closed. I think you’ll like their romantic happily ever after!

With each book I’ve written, I’ve created an inspiration-board with photos of my characters, my setting, the homes they live in, and any other images that will help me place myself in the midst of my story. When I wrote the first draft of Insight, I was still creating actual poster-size inspiration-boards that I propped on my desk each Monday morning and didn’t take them down until the weekend. In recent years, programs like Pinterest, Scrivener, and desktop wallpapers have allowed me to have my inspiration-boards right on my laptop. With this reissue of Insight, I’ve created a new Pinterest board for the novel, which you can see here: https://www.pinterest.com/deborahraney/insight-~-a-novel-by-deborah-raney/

Thanks so much for hosting me, Lisa. Happy hunting, all!

DEBORAH RANEY’s first novel, A Vow to Cherish, inspired the World Wide Pictures film of the same title and launched Deb’s writing career.Twenty years, thirty books, and numerous awards later, she’s still creating stories that touch hearts and lives. She and husband, Ken, traded small-town life in Kansas for life in the city of Wichita. They love traveling to visit four grown children and a growing brood of grandchildren who all live much too far away.
