Keturah Cover Reveal: Day 3

Jun 8, 2017

KeturahCoverReveal4Welcome to our three-day reveal! Over the past three days, I’ve shared portions of both the beautiful cover Bethany House artists and designers have produced, but also the full summary! If you’ve just stumbled upon this event, lucky you—you get to see/read the whole thing!

Lady Keturah Banning Tomlinson has seen much glory—and darkness—in her twenty-five years. But when she and her sisters find themselves the heiresses of their father’s diminished estates, they know they have but one option: To head to the West Indies to save what is left of their fortune.

In the year 1772, women do not do such things. But deep in the embattled Caribbean, proper gender roles are the least of their worries. On the infamous island called Nevis, the sisters encounter privateers, disease, the worst sector of slavery in the world, the hint of a revolutionary war in the States on the wind, and the decline of the legendary sugar barons’ legacies all about them.

In the midst of it all, Keturah struggles to keep her family together and find a way to make her father’s once-great plantation profitable again. While she has sworn to herself that she will never find herself at the mercy of a man’s cruel hand again, she finds herself the talk of the island, with every man either hoping to win her hand and the promising Tabletop Plantation…or remind her what she should do or say as a proper English noble.

Complicating matters is Gray Covington, a childhood friend who has purchased the neighboring plantation, hoping to repair his own fortune. At first she believes he has arranged to arrive on island at the same time in order to win her—just one of the wearisome many. But will she see in time that God sometimes brings healing—and an understanding of true love—from the most unexpected sector? Or will her heart be drawn to another?

KETURAH will release Spring 2018. Feel free to pray for me as I spend most of this month in serious rewrites, making this the best book I can…
