Author’s note: After I’d been repeatedly contacted by adoptive families who had picked up GOD GAVE US YOU–thinking it was an adoption story–I finally wrote this story just for them! Although I’m not an adoptive mama myself, I had five friends who adopted children read the manuscript and give me feedback. I’m grateful for their input so I could get it right! –LTB
